Requirements

Each student is required to:

• Attend all lectures, discussions, and films;

• Each week, read the required texts;

• Complete three mid-term examinations;

• Complete an "ethnography of technology" on a topic relevant to the course. Written paper due at the final exam. It should be typed, double-spaced, and include citations and references as appropriate. 12-15 pp.; and

• Make an oral presentation at the end of the semester based on his/her research.

Grading

Mid-term examinations (3) 40%

Research paper & presentation 40%

Attendance & participation 20%
